The Escape Pod Motorhome

No need to buy your own motorhome, use ours! Insurance is included.

We are well placed in St Albans, 2 minutes from J22 of the M25, and close to the M1, so for all those who from the city, come to us, leave your car and venture into the peaceful countryside (and visa versa!!) Hire out our well maintained home on wheels and go explore the country in comfort. On board, you will find a fully functioning kitchen with extras like an air fryer, fridge and freezer, gas oven, electric and gas kettles and a toaster as well as a great area to relax and eat. (The toaster,electric kettle and air fryer require mains power). Unlike some motorhomes, our one has a separate shower so no getting your feet wet when using the toilet. On warm days, whilst plugged into a campsites electric point, we have remote controlled air conditioning in the living area, an unusual feature that will make warm summer evenings bearable.

Unlike some other hire companies that charge, we offer as standard, levelling ramps, a 4 bike bike carrier, mains powered air conditioning in the living area, toilet chemicals, Adblu and gas all included in the price.

There are plenty of USB A and USB C plug sockets for all your devices, and you can connect the smart TV to your hotspot to enjoy Apps like Netflix and Prime (you need to sign in to your own accounts).

Other features to tempt you include bunk beds with their own windows, USB sockets on each bunk, each with a light and shelves. A curtain separates the main cabin from the bunk beds.

Our motorhome has all utensils you need for cooking, so self catering will be a breeze.

Although we supply duvets and pillow, bed linen or towels are not included so please bring your own. (You can request some for an extra charge - see house rules).

There will be cleaning supplies on board, but please bring toilet paper and kitchen towels and bathroom shampoo/handwash etc. Gas is supplied, however you may need to swap bottles should one run out.

In the back there is a large storage area under the bunk bed, which can be accessed from outside or from within the vehicle. At the rear of the vehicle there is a bike rack that holds 4 bicycles. A table and 4 chairs are supplied, as are windbreaks.

It sleeps 6, however I personally feel it is a bit overcrowded with 6. The dining table folds down into a small double, suitable for children.

Please note that there is a tracker installed for security purposes. The motorhome is also limited to around 60 mph. Before the hire, photos will be taken inside and out. Existing damage will be pointed out. This provides peace of mind that the condition of the vehicle is recorded correctly before you take it out.

On board there is a Garmin satnav. Whilst you may also wish to use your own device, our satnav is designed for motorhomes and so will choose routes that avoid width restrictions (which are not a welcome sight I can assure you).

The wind out sun canopy is unavailable for use as it is susceptible to damage.

We will go through some of the features of the vehicle when you arrive, but there is a user manual on board to help explain everything. Feel free to ask any questions during the hire if required.

Please note that if the motorhome is returned after 11:00, a charge of £20 per hour will be incurred.

Please note that as with all motorhomes, there is a weight limit. You are able to bring approx 400Kg of cargo (this includes the weight of the passengers).
